Road works to impact motorists throughout Lake Mac, Hunter

SHARE

Another round of road works is expected to affect motorists throughout Lake Macquarie and the Hunter from the weekend.

Changed overnight traffic conditions will take place at the intersection of Macquarie Drive, Croudace Bay Road, Regal Way and Tallawalla Road at Valentine from Sunday 14 January.

The work includes road surface repairs, general maintenance and footpath repairs.

To minimise impact to locals and visitors alike, it’ll be carried out Sunday to Thursday, from 7pm to 4.30am, for two weeks, weather permitting.

“There will be lane closures and a reduced speed limit of 40km/h during work hours,” a Transport for NSW (TfNSW) spokesperson said.

“People are advised to plan ahead, allow extra travel time, drive to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.

“We thank everyone for their patience.”

Meanwhile, the M1 Pacific Motorway extension to Raymond Terrace (Black Hill to Tomago) project also continues this week.

The work requires lane closures and temporary speed reductions from Monday 15 to Friday 19 January between 8pm and 5am.

This will occur at the following locations:

  • Pacific Highway northbound and southbound shoulder closure
  • Anderson Drive on-ramp to New England Highway shoulder closure
  • Tomago Road eastbound lane closure
  • Maitland Road westbound lane closure
