A serving police officer’s employment status is now under review after being charged with domestic violence-related offences.
About 2.30pm on Sunday 5 February, officers attached to Northern Region began an investigation.
It followed allegations of a domestic-related incident between a man and woman in Singleton at the weekend.
Following inquiries, a 32-year-old probationary constable – attached to a command in the Northern Region – was arrested and issued a Future Court Attendance Notice for common assault (DV).
He will appear at Singleton Local Court on Thursday 13 April.
