Leadership, business and community engagement are among the topics that will take centre stage when Newcastle Business Club stages its monthly networking event.

The non-profit organisation, dedicated to professional development and knowledge-sharing among business leaders in Newcastle, is thrilled to host Patricia Forsythe AM for ‘Unlocking Leadership Insights’ on Tuesday 7 May.

The two-hour luncheon will take place at Newcastle Cruising Yacht Club from 11am, with the University of Newcastle’s eighth chancellor headlining the event.

Patricia Forsythe AM

Born in Newcastle, and educated at the city’s university, Ms Forsythe has journeyed from educator to Parliamentarian to business advocate, gaining a wealth of experience that is nothing short of exceptional.

As Australia’s former High Commissioner to New Zealand, executive director of the Sydney Business Chamber, and a member of the NSW Legislative Council, she brings a unique perspective to the table.

Ms Forsythe has also served on numerous boards in both government and the not-for-profit sector, including 11 years on the Macquarie University Council and chair of the International Education Advisory Board NSW.

During the luncheon, attendees will have the opportunity to hear first-hand accounts of her illustrious career, gaining valuable insights into effective leadership strategies and navigating challenges in the ever-evolving business landscape.

“We are delighted to host the Honorable Patricia Forsythe AM at our May luncheon,” Newcastle Business Club marketing lead Josh Lawlor said.

“Her remarkable career trajectory and commitment to excellence make her a true inspiration for aspiring leaders across industries.

“We look forward to an engaging discussion and the opportunity to learn from her wealth of experience.”

Tickets for the event are $75 for members and $85 for non-members and can be purchased online at Newcastle Business Club.
