Outdo Espresso

Known for its top tier coffee, toasties, pastries and açai, Outdo Espresso also can accomodate your dog thanks to its delicious puppachinos and the grassed outdoor area that sits next to the cafe. There is also always plenty of hands available to give out free pats.

Sunnyboy Kiosk

Sunnyboy Kiosk has quickly become a favourite for early morning coffee runs, beachside smoothie catchups, afternoon gelato, and early dinners. It’s also a dog-friendly cafe, serving puppacinos for your four-legged pal to enjoy after a game of fetch at Dixon Park beach.

Cakeboi

While you’re grabbing your favourite slice of cake and coffee to go from Cakeboi, you can also pick up a handmade dog treat for your pooch. For those wanting a dine-in option, snag a table outside and let the puppy pats begin.

Akuna

Found in the back streets of Merewether, Akuna café is a haven for beach goers, wholesome food lovers, and our furry pals. With plenty of space for you and your pooch to relax, cool off with a smoothie or try something nourshing from their food menu.

Lulu and Benson

Lulu and Benson is an old-school milk bar for humans and doggos. This dog-friendly cafe has a dedicated dog treat cabinet featuring PUPcakes and dog-friendly ice cream. It’s the perfect hang out spot for dog parents with a sweet tooth.

Cafe Inu

If you’re wondering where the name Cafe Inu comes from, the word ‘Inu’ actually translates to dog in Japanese. So, you know you and your furry friend will most definitely be welcomed with open arms into this relaxed cafe, known for its industrial chic setting, craft coffee and quality breakfasts. Luckily for your pooch, they also offer a selection of dog treats and puppacinos.

The Wickham Boatshed

The Wickham Boatshed is a great pit-stop during your walk around the Throsby Creek area. This picturesque harbour side spot has a Mediterranean-style menu and stunning waterfront views for you and your doggo to enjoy. It’s also only a short walking distance to off-leash beach, Carrington Foreshore, where your pup can burn off some energy.

Praise Joe Urban Pantry

If the delicious brews or range of mouth-watering treats at this hotspot don’t tempt you, then the fact that dogs are welcome, will. This Melbourne-esque corner cafe knows all of its regular pooch customers by name, greeting each with a biscuit and a pat when they visit – sounds like pooch heaven to us.

Ka-fey Cafe

This dog-friendly cafe is a perfect healthy pit-stop when browsing the shops on Hunter Street. The team are passionate about providing a friendly environment for all, including your furry pal. Little Lane Espresso

Serving consistently rich and punchy coffees, Little Lane Espresso is the perfect stop for you and your pooch during a trip to New Lambton Village. Its pared down interior and pop of green colour offers a relaxed vibe, while the staff are always available to hand out a pat or two.

Little Millards

Tucked neatly at the forefront of a row of shops at the top of Gertrude Street, Little Millards welcomes all humans and pooches to try Newcastle’s best coffee for themselves. With their own resident golden retriever and wonderful sense of community, this dog-friendly cafe is the perfect spot to pull up a seat and soak in the sunshine with your furry mate.
