M1 Pacific Motorway detour map – southbound.

Motorists are advised of changed overnight traffic conditions from this weekend on the M1 Pacific Motorway.

This will allow Transport for NSW to carry out essential scheduled maintenance between the Hunter Expressway and John Renshaw Drive intersection.

A 10km section of the motorway will be closed southbound over two nights from 7.30pm to 4.30am on Sunday 21 and Monday 22 February, and northbound over two nights from 7.30pm to 4.30am on Tuesday 23 and Wednesday 24 February, weather permitting.

During those hours, a detour is scheduled to be in place via John Renshaw Drive and the Hunter Expressway.

And, it’s expected to add about 10 kilometres to journeys or approximately 10-to-15 minutes travel time.

Work includes road resurfacing and repairs, improving drains and road shoulders, installing guideposts, litter collection and mowing.

It will be rescheduled to the next available date if necessary due to wet weather and electronic message signs will be in place during work hours.

Motorists are urged to follow the direction of traffic control and keep to posted speed limits.

Transport for NSW thanks everyone for their patience while the work is carried out. For the latest traffic updates, download the Live Traffic NSW App, visit www.livetraffic.com or phone 132 701.
