A woman suffered multiple injuries after the motorbike she was a passenger on hit a kangaroo south-west of Bulahdelah overnight.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service (WRHS) was tasked by NSW Ambulance to an accident on Booral Road, at Girvan, about 9pm on Wednesday 3 January.
It’s understood the vehicle collided with the marsupial, with the male rider sustaining minor injuries.
His female pillion passenger, believed to be in her 50s, wasn’t so lucky.
She was treated by paramedics and the chopper’s critical care medical team before being airlifted to John Hunter Hospital.
