Transport for NSW (TfNSW) is hoping to minimise impact on motorists when it starts road works at Bennetts Green and Hillsborough from this weekend.
Crews are set to begin installing concrete medians on the Pacific Highway and Hillsborough Road, meaning changed overnight traffic conditions will come into play.
Work proceeds on Sunday 18 February… and is expected to be carried out from 7pm to 4.30am (Sunday to Thursday) for the next three weeks, weather permitting.
At Bennetts Green, one southbound lane of the Pacific Highway will be closed at the intersection of South Street, with a reduced speed limit of 40 km/h in place for the safety of workers and motorists.
At Hillsborough, the eastbound lane of Hillsborough Road will be closed between Higham Road and Chadwick Street during work hours, with portable traffic lights and alternating conditions in use.
A reduced speed limit of 40km/h is in place, too.
Work’s expected to take a fortnight to complete.
“We’re asking motorists to allow extra travel time, drive to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic control,” a TfNSW spokesperson said.
“We thank everyone for their patience during this time.”
