A Lake Macquarie mum has admitted to having a sleepless night after discovering her $2.6 million Saturday Lotto win.
In fact, the woman was left wide-eyed and dazed in shock right before her bedtime.
She held one of the two winning entries in draw 4381 on Saturday 15 July.
As a result, she pocketed $2,666,110.76.
So far in 2023, there have been 18 division one winning entries in the Hunter and Central Coast region, which have collectively taken home more than $36.47 million in prizemoney.
“It’s crazy,” she told an official from The Lott.
“I usually check my ticket on Saturday night right after the draw.
“It’s my Saturday night ritual as I’ve been playing for years and years.
“I looked at my ticket and I thought it looked strange.
“There were too many numbers, too many zeros, and confetti appeared on the screen.”
The woman said it was her second triumph in a week, too.
Although that total wasn’t as grand as $2.6 million.
“Last Saturday, I won $18 on my ticket… and it was a different situation,” the Lake Mac resident added.
“I couldn’t believe it. I didn’t know if it was real.
“I had such a sleepless night because all I could think about was the win.
“Thank you so much.”
With $2.6 million about to change her family’s life forever, the regular player acknowledged she was too shell-shocked to make any initial plans.
“We don’t have a clue,” she said.
“We will have to wait until the prize is in our bank account.
“It will put to good use though.”
Her winning 50-game QuickPick was purchased online at thelott.com.
The successful numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 4381 were 18, 32, 25, 39, 31 and 37, while the supplementary numbers were 12 and 34.
