In tragic circumstances, a body has been located during the search for a girl reported missing from the Upper Hunter this week.
Police issued an appeal for public assistance to find the teenager, who was last seen on Mill Creek Road, Stroud, about 9am on Tuesday 28 March.
After failing to return home, officers attached to Port Stephens-Hunter Police District were notified and began inquiries to locate the 17-year-old.
At the time, family and police held concerns for her welfare due to her disappearance being out of character.
But, sadly, about 10am on Wednesday 29, it’s been revealed her body was discovered near Mill Creek Road, Stroud.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
