A Mutual partnership to help others at Christmas

SHARE

While many people are only just thinking of putting their Christmas tree up, countless local charities are already busy planning how to help families in need.

And, in 2022, The Mutual Bank will partner with six Hunter organisations – Dungog Shire Community Centre, The Salvation Army, Survivor’s R Us, Maitland Region Community Support, Got Ya Back Sista and Port Stephens Family and Neighbourhood Service – to help spread a little extra cheer for those under pressure from the rising cost of living.

The financial institution’s seven branches – Dungog, East Maitland, Edgeworth, Maitland, Rutherford, Mayfield and Raymond Terrace – have embraced the festive spirit and are ready to accept donations to ensure everyone enjoys the merry season.

The Mutual Bank’s CEO Geoff Seccombe said no contribution was too small.

“Every donation, whether it be a treat for the Christmas hampers made up by the charities, a gift card for a teenager or a toiletries pack for an older recipient, it is all making a big difference,” he explained.

“Unwrapped gifts can be left at all of our branches until mid-December to allow Dungog Shire Community Centre, The Salvation Army, Survivor’s R Us, Maitland Region Community Support, Got Ya Back Sista and Port Stephens Family and Neighbourhood Service to sort, allocate and deliver everything before Christmas Day.

“Donations of wrapping paper are also appreciated.”
