Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions this week on the New England Highway on the approach to the John Renshaw Drive intersection at Hexham.
Transport for NSW will carry out geotechnical sampling, testing by excavation and removing samples on John Renshaw Drive from Tuesday 29 June to help prepare the concept design for the extension of the M1 Pacific Motorway to Raymond Terrace.
Work will be carried out from Tuesday to Thursday between 9.30am and 2.30pm.
It’s expected to completed in three days, weather permitting.
Lane closures and a reduced speed limit of 40km/h will be in place for a few hundred metres on John Renshaw Drive and on the New England Highway for the safety of workers.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions; and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
“We thank everyone for their patience during this time,” a Transport for NSW spokesperson said.
