A Cardiff man plans to celebrate his $100,000 windfall in today’s Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw by treating his dog to fancier treats.

The Lake Macquarie resident won the guaranteed first prize bounty, which was drawn on Friday 20 January.

“Is this true? Did I really win? he questioned when an official from The Lott revealed his luck straight after the draw.

“I’m always receiving scam calls, so I was very apprehensive at first.

“But, now that I know it’s true, I want to kiss you… actually, I want to marry you.

“One hundred thousand dollars? You’re sending shivers down my spine!

“I only just checked this ticket before you called.

“The results weren’t ready as the draw hadn’t been drawn yet.

“It’s crazy how these things happen.”

The local admitted he “regularly purchased” tickets in Lucky Lotteries draws.

“So, it’s great to have finally scored big,” he said.

“I want to tell everyone, but absolutely no one at the same time.

“Perhaps I’ll celebrate with my dog… and he can have some fancier treats tonight.”

With more than $100,000 about to land into his bank account, the New South Welshman shared it would go towards his retirement plans.

“I’ve been retired for more than 12 months now,” he said.

“So, I’ll look to put it towards that.”

His winning entry of 10 consecutive numbers was purchased at Cardiff Central Newsagency, at Cardiff Marketplace.

The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $2.44 million for draw 1603, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is currently at $3.36 million for draw 10748.

In 2022, 274 Lucky Lotteries first prize and jackpot winning entries across Australia won more than $80.49 million.
