A Singleton shopper has had their world turned upside down in the best possible way after securing $4.8 million.
The NSW player held the only division one winning entry in Set for Life 2720, drawn on Monday 16 January.
They’ll now receive instalments of $20,000 a month for 20 years.
However, how they plan to spend their windfall will forever remain a mystery as they have chosen to remain completely anonymous and celebrate in private.
The division one winning entry was purchased at Singleton Mall Newsagency, in Gowrie Street.
The Lott spokesperson Anna Hobdell said she was sure the recipient was over the moon after their life-changing good fortune.
“There’s no doubt their head was spinning when they realised they’d receive $20,000 a month for the next 20 years,” she explained.
“Other division one winners regularly tell us they’ll use their prizes to buy their dream home, help their nearest and dearest, and enjoy a long-overdue holiday.
“But, however our winner chooses to use their prize, we hope they enjoy their winning feeling as long as they can.”
The numbers in Set for Life draw 2720 were 23, 32, 16, 22, 19, 17 and 33, while the supplementary numbers were 26 and 37.
Across Australia, there was a solitary division one winning entry.
This marks the 109th Set for Life victor nationally since the game began and the second so far this calendar year.
