Coles is doing some last-minute hopping after a popular Easter toy has been given the big thumbs down. 

The supermarket giant is recalling an assortment of Easter plush toys after faulty stitching was deemed too risky in the hands of young children. 

Coles Easter Bunny Squeezer Pals and Coles Easter Light Up chicken and bunny are being recalled. 

The Coles Easter Bunny Squeezer Pals come in blue, grey and purple. 

Any customers that purchased any of the assorted soft toys, in either colour, are being asked to return them to a nearby Coles store for a full refund. 

Faulty stitching, it warns, may lead to young children gaining access to polyester filling, posing a potential choking hazard.  

The products were sold between 26 February 2024 and 20 March 2024 at Coles supermarkets, Coles Local stores nationally and via Coles Online. 

Customers are being advised to keep the toys out of reach of children.  

Customers can return the product to any Coles supermarket or Coles Local store for a full refund.  

Coles Online customers can receive a full refund or credit by contacting Coles Online Customer Care on 1800 455 400. 

Once they’ve contacted Coles, customers are being advised to dispose of the purchased toys securely.
