One man is dead and another severely injured following a gyrocopter crash near Raymond Terrace on Saturday.
About 4.30pm on 12 August, emergency services were called to Allworth.
It followed reports a gyrocopter, carrying two people, crashed into bushland off The Buckets Way.
Officers Port Stephens-Hunter Police District located one 70-year-old man deceased at the scene, about 35km north of Raymond Terrace.
Another male, aged 53, was found with severe injuries.
He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being airlifted to John Hunter Hospital in a serious condition.
An investigation into the incident is underway, while a report is being prepared for the Coroner.
