The Newcastle Knights are shoring up their long-term NRLW future by re-signing two of the club’s most promising youngsters.
Sienna Yeo and Raymond-Terrace Roosters junior Lilly-Ann White each delivered an early Christmas present to the organisation this week.
Both have recommitted to the Hunter-based outfit until at least the end of 2027.
Yeo, 20, joined Newcastle this season and provided an immediate impact, playing every game and winning plenty of admirers along the way.
And, head coach Ben Jeffries is thrilled by the height of the hard-working forward’s potential ceiling.
“We see Sienna’s extension as very exciting news for our club,” he said.
“She has already proven her ability to compete at NRLW level.
“Equally exciting is the potential still to come.
“So, I look forward to seeing how her career progresses from this point.”
Jeffries admitted Yeo’s influence on the group was instantaneous in 2025, with more personal success to come her way.
“I can see her pushing her peers for a regular starting position next season, as she continues to develop her game,” he said.
“The other exciting factor is Sienna’s age.
“We firmly believe she has a long NRLW career ahead and we are thrilled to call her a Knight for at least another two years.”
Jeffries also expressed his delight in retaining the services of speedster White, 20.
“It is always really special to extend a local junior’s contract… and keep them here at home,” he said.
“We love Lilly’s work ethic, energy and eagerness to learn.
“On top of that, we know her attitude will create opportunities and present plenty of upside in her continued development.
“There is no doubt Lilly’s best is still ahead of her.
“We look forward to witnessing her ongoing progression over the next couple of years and beyond.”
