Woolies, Dan Murphy’s and Aldi anchor $180m Chisholm shopping centre

Woolworths, Dan Murphy’s and Aldi are set to anchor a new $180 million shopping centre in one of Maitland’s fastest-growing suburbs.

Currently under construction, Chisholm Plaza is slated to open in late 2026 and boast 50 specialty tenancies, including a medical and allied health precinct, a childcare facility, gym, swim school and car wash.

But, it’s a major coup for developer Revelop to secure the “big three” ahead of time in the heart of AVID Property Group’s Waterford community.

Founding director Anthony El-Hazouri said the company’s vision was to create a “one stop” destination for residents and visitors to shop, eat and play.

“Chisholm Plaza will become the true meeting point for community where all daily needs are met from grocery shopping, through to retail shopping, community services, dining and so much more,” he explained.

“Locals can benefit from shorter travel times to reach their doctors, stores, gyms and kids’ swimming lessons.

“That’s the convenience we were so determined to provide.

“We look forward to welcoming the community to Chisholm Plaza later this year, when we officially open our doors.”

AVID general manager New South Wales Danny Boubli said the tenancy announcement of Woolworths, Dan Murphy’s and Aldi marked a significant milestone for its residents who will gain from the greater retail amenity in the area.

“Chisholm Plaza represents an important step forward for Waterford and the wider community, delivering everyday convenience and essential services closer to home,” he added.

“More than a standalone shopping centre, this precinct will be another vibrant public hub where our residents and visitors alike can gather, relax in green spaces and connect with one another.

“With no existing retail centres in Chisholm, this plaza will significantly improve their lifestyle while also creating valuable local employment opportunities.”
