A woman remains in a stable condition after nearly drowning while scuba diving at Nelson Bay at the weekend.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service (WRHS) was tasked by NSW Ambulance to the location about 10.45am on Sunday 5 April.
A private boat transported the female, believed to be in her 70s, to meet awaiting paramedics and the chopper’s critical care medical team.
She was then flown to John Hunter Hospital for further treatment.
