A woman is in a stable condition following an accident involving an All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) at Wollombi at the weekend.

About 7pm on Saturday 11 September, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service was tasked by NSW Ambulance paramedics on a primary mission to a property south-west of Cessnock.

There, the crew located a 37-year-old female, who had sustained lower leg injuries.

She was treated at the scene by the paramedics and the chopper’s Critical Care Medical team prior to being airlifted to John Hunter Hospital.
