It wasn’t a Merry Christmas for one elderly motorist who was airlifted to John Hunter Hospital following a multiple vehicle accident near Paterson.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service (WRHS) was tasked by NSW Ambulance to Duns Creek just after 10am on Sunday 25 December.
It followed reports of a severe two-car crash on Woodville Road.
Paramedics and the chopper’s Critical Care Medical Team stabilised a woman in her 80s, who had suffered numerous injuries in the accident.
She was conveyed to John Hunter Hospital in a serious condition for further treatment.
