A woman has been charged over the alleged abduction of a young boy, with the search ending in the Hunter region yesterday.
The 12-year-old was last seen leaving a school in Culcairn, in the state’s Riverina, about midday on Tuesday 9 March.
Following an Amber Alert, the boy was located safe and well about 10pm on Wednesday 10 March in Lake Macquarie.
A 36-year-old woman was arrested and taken to Belmont Police Station.
She was later charged with take/detain person with intent to obtain advantage (DV).
She was refused bail to appear at Newcastle Local Court on Thursday 11 March.
