SANTA AT THE LEVEE:

Santa will be at The Riverlink building in The Levee Central Maitland (High Street, Maitland) to do some last minute toy making and taking some time off to capture photos with you and your family from today (Thursday 26 November) until Saturday 19 December. Times on Thursday will be 3pm to 7pm; Friday 9am to 1pm; and Saturday 9am to 1pm. A digital photo will be emailed to you to add to your keepsake collection. This event is free. CHRISTMAS CRAFT, CHAT AND COFFEE:

The next event is on Friday 27 November from 10.30am to 12.30pm at the Museum of Art and Culture (MAC), located at 1A First Street, Booragul. It is free to attend. Contact Peta McGrath on 4921 0430 for more information.

CHRISTMAS STALLS:

Don’t miss out on Miss Porter’s Christmas Stalls on the steps of Hamilton Uniting Church (Beaumont Street, Hamilton). Saturday 28 November from 9am to noon. Handmade gifts, preserves, and edible delights. The stalls will help to raise funds for Miss Porter’s House Museum.

GARAGE SALE:

Pre-Christmas Garage Sale on the front lawn of Toronto Uniting Church (118 The Boulevarde, Toronto) on Saturday 28 November from 8am to 12pm. A variety of goods at bargain prices.

OLIVE TREE VIRTUAL CHRISTMAS MARKET:

Discover a collective of amazing makers, creators, artists, designers, and gourmet food producers for a special market day. The virtual market will debut new Olive Tree makers and introduce you to talented emerging artists, as well as showcase the work of some of its favourite creatives from Newcastle and beyond. EAST MAITLAND CWA MARKET DAY:

The East Maitland Branch of the Country Women’s Association will host a market day at 162 George Street, East Maitland, on Saturday 28 November from 8am to 1pm. Cakes, slices, jams, plants, and handicrafts on sale.

SANTA PAWS PHOTOS:

Hunter Animal Rescue will host two events in the Hunter, with proceeds being donated to the service’s vital work. The first is at PETQuarters Rutherford (58 Shipley Drive) on Saturday 28 November and the second will take place at PETQuarters Glendale (3/15 Stockland Drive) on Saturday 5 December. BOOMERANG BAGS WORKSHOP:

Enjoy this regular sewing bee, making reusable shopping bags, produce bags and more. Boomerang Bags Lake Macquarie and the Cardiff Area Sustainable Neighbourhood Group have teamed up to run these friendly sewing bees. Help cut out patters, sew bags together and learn how to make reusable bags at home. The next workshop is on Sunday 29 November at Cardiff North Public School Library (59 Wansbeck Valley Road, Cardiff) from 10am to 2pm. 

CHRISTMAS YOUTH MARKET:

Come support local creative youth and have a relaxing afternoon enjoying live music and shopping a variety of products, including candles, scrunchies, artwork, jewellery and a whole lot more of amazing products. The Christmas market will take place on Saturday 5 December at Hunter Multicultural Community Hall (2A Platt Street, Waratah) from 1pm to 5pm. WILLIAM THE FOURTH:

Two special harbour cruises have been organised aboard the historic William the Fourth vessel on Sunday 6 December. There will be a Christmas morning tea, where participants can relax and enjoy a 1.5-hour cruise, departing from 10.30am. A scenic two-hour cruise on Newcastle harbour is then set to depart at 1.30pm. CHRISTMAS IN BRASS:

A Cardiff Northlakes Brass Band Concert, Christmas in Brass 2020, will be presented in the Warners Bay Theatre (39 Lake Street, Warners Bay) on Sunday 13 December from 2pm to 4pm. A full program, including well-known carols, has been prepared by the band. Tickets available at the door. Cost: adults $20, concession $15, children under 14 free.
