Get ready to taste the foods you have been seeing all over your socials at Newcastle’s first ever Viral Food Festival from Friday 20 June to Sunday 22 June.
Newcastle Racecourse will host an array of exciting vendors as well as live entertainment, musicians, a wrestling ring and roving performers.
From sweet treats like Dubai bubble waffle cones and Disney churro dupes to savoury feasts such as big mac tacos dripping in cheese and succulent lobster rolls, there is something for everyone.
And, these foods not only taste great, but they look good too so get ready to take photos from every angle.
Viral Food Festival founder Sam Adams says this event was borne out of wanting to create something fresh for foodies who love to eat great food and share their content online.
“We have been running food truck events across NSW since 2016,” he told the Newcastle Weekly.
“But, the Viral Food Festival is different and it’s the first time we are running this concept.
“The idea is simple: Bring all the bold, fun, and visual foods that take over everyone’s feeds, into one place.
“We want to create an event that feels as exciting in person as it looks online, a space where food is both delicious and entertaining.
“We have seen the online food space explode with eye-catching, creative bites that spark conversation and get people sharing.
“This festival is our way of making that video a reality and letting people taste the trends they’ve seen on screens.
With a lot of excitement around this unique concept, Sam expects the Viral Food Festival to be a huge hit in Newcastle.
“We are hoping to see between 15,000 and 20,000 people over the weekend if the weather is good, as well as up to 30 food bloggers and influencers, including some big creator names.
“The Safar Bros, Cyclone Cyrell from MAFS is bringing her partner Eden from Love Island and local legend Beersy (Max Beer) will all be attending across the weekend.”
