Together more than ever for Youth Week 2021

Youth Week 2021 is going to be an epic week of fun for Cessnock youngsters next month.

The program of events kick off on Saturday 10 April and continue until Saturday 24 April.

The Cessnock Youth Week Planning Committee is excited about the schedule its put together, featuring everything from a sport activity, drawing workshop, street art workshop, barista workshop, youth TEDX talks and the Skate Jam at PCYC.

And, this is only a small taste of what’s on offer.

Cessnock City mayor Bob Pynsent congratulated the Cessnock Youth Week Planning Committee members on their work in creating an excellent program.

“Last year Youth Week had to be moved completely online due to COVID-19,” he said.

“So, it’s great we can now return to a more interactive format and see our young people enjoy face-to-face activities.

“I look forward to the TEDX event and listening to what our local young people care about and are inspired by.

“The special thing about Youth Week is the program is created with the help of our young people.

“Well done to all involved, especially our Youth Week Ambassadors who put in a huge amount of effort to ensure the week is representative of their peers.”

Download the Youth Week 2021 program on council’s website at www.cessnock.nsw.gov.au/YouthWeek and keep an eye on the CYCOS Facebook page for updates at www.facebook.com/CessnockYouthCentre.

All of the venues and participating organisations will be COVIDSafe.

NSW Health guidelines will be followed to help keep the community safe for everyone.
