Bengalla Hunter Valley Group 21 Rugby League defending premiers Scone Thoroughbreds retained the prestigious Johnnie Lawler Shield from neighbouring Aberdeen Tigers at McKinnon Oval on Thursday night.
The visitors dominated proceedings from the kick-off to record a comfortable 54-10 victory.
The Thoroughbreds piled on six tries in the opening 40 to lead 36-0 at the break.
Jared Austin bagged a double, with Luke Clydsdale, Adam Clydsdale, Tim Smith and Jake Watts also crossing the line.
Watts was on target with all his conversations, too.
Scone did not let up in the second period either.
Luke Clydsdale and Adam Clydsdale dived over again, as did Hayden Topliss in the 66th minute to put the side ahead 54-0.
Watts maintained his 100% kicking strike rate with a further three goals.
The hosts gave the home crowd something to cheer about with two touchdowns in the final stages to reduce the margin to 54-10.
Meanwhile, Denman provided a Devil of a time to the Muswellbrook Rams in their local derby, winning 40-24, on Sunday.
With Travis Bateman and Ned Chapman posting four-pointers within the first 20 minutes, both converted by Andrew Behsman, the Devils jumped to a 12-0 advantage.
Even though the Rams managed one of their own, a second to Bateman and another to Brady Benkovic, plus two Behsman goals, set up a 24-6 lead at the interval.
Muswellbrook fought back strongly after half-time but a third to Bateman, giving him a hat-trick on debut, allowed Denman to wrap up the showdown 16-point victors.
The Singleton Greyhounds, following back-to-back triumphs, had the bye.
