Teenagers injured in motor vehicle accident

Two teenagers were conveyed to John Hunter Hospital after their car rolled off the road at Melville overnight.

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service (WRHS) was tasked by NSW Ambulance on a primary mission to Melville Ford Road, north-west of Maitland.

It is believed a 16-year-old male hurt his back while an 18-year-old female suffered minor injuries in the motor vehicle accident.

Both patients were treated at the scene by paramedics and the chopper’s Critical Care Medical Team.

VRA Rescue NSW, NSW RFS and NSW Police officers were also in attendance.

The male patient was airlifted to John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition, while the woman was transported by road ambulance to the same location.
