Teen charged with murder following Gosford stabbing

A 15-year-old boy has been charged with murder following the fatal stabbing of a man in Gosford earlier this week.

Emergency services were called to Mann Street about 7.30pm on Tuesday 28 July following reports of a stabbing.

Officers from Brisbane Water Police District attended and found a 22-year-old man with stab wounds.

He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Gosford Hospital, where he later died.

At the time of the report, police had established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.

Following further inquiries, officers arrested a 15-year-old boy and a 45-year-old woman at a Lake Haven home about 1.30am on Saturday 1 August.

Both were taken to Wyong Police Station.

The teenage boy was charged with murder.

He was refused bail and was due to appear before a Children’s Bail Court on Saturday.

The 45-year-old woman was charged with hindering the apprehension of a person who committed a serious offence.

She was also refused bail and was due to appear before Bail Division Court 6 on Saturday.
