Supermum does it for her kids

Bonnells Bay mother-of-three Chloe Cox has started the new year feeling more confident than ever in her own skin.

She’s dropped a whopping 40 kilograms since February 2016, but she’s not stopping there.

“I’m smaller than I was as a teenager,” she tells Newcastle Weekly.
“I’ve never had an end goal in mind or a number I wanted to reach on the scales; I’m just focusing on being the happiest I can be.”

Ms Cox’s first two pregnancies were classified as “complicated” and high-risk.

After a bout of postnatal depression, she decided to take control of the direction in which her life was heading.

“I saw a photo [of herself pregnant] and I’d had enough,” she says.
“I signed up [to parenting health site The Healthy Mummy] that night.” With proper guidance, Ms Cox was able to stick to her resolution, once and for all.

Her third pregnancy was the healthiest; low-risk and complication free, simply by changing her diet and exercise.

And, just before Christmas, Ms Cox had the celebration she deserved, alongside five other women who were all winners in The Healthy Mummy’s Weight Loss Mums of the Year competition.

The women, who shed almost 200 kilograms between them, were flown to Sydney and treated to a once-in-a-lifetime makeover and a cocktail party, where they flaunted their new looks on the catwalk.

When asked about her one piece of advice for Newcastle Weekly readers, Ms Cox said: “The best thing is not to look at the big picture: take it day by day. And, if you eat something bad, that’s fine; you can always make a better choice next time.”
