Stones Revue rolling into Newcastle

Four of Australia’s most electrifying rockstars will pay homage to one of the greatest rock ‘n roll bands of all time in Newcastle in 2024.

As The Rolling Stones gears up to celebrate 60 years in the industry, Adalita, Phil Jamieson, Tex Perkins and Tim Rogers are set to honour Mick Jagger and the boys at the Civic Theatre on Sunday 11 August.

“I’m so thrilled to once again be joining my good mates to acknowledge this incredibly iconic group.

“I cannot wait to get my teeth into this one, it’s going to be an amazing show,” Adalita said.

Led by the Magic Dirt frontwoman, Jamieson (Grinspoon), Perkins (The Cruel Sea, Tex Don & Charlie) and self-professed Stones’ tragic Rogers (You Am I), The Rolling Stones Revue will bring a full-blown spectacle to the stage starting with the seminal Sticky Fingers album.

Kicking off with Brown Sugar and Can’t You Hear Me Knockin’, they’ll take you on a ride through the record in its entirety including Sway and Wild Horses to Dead Flowers and Moonlight Mile.

Set two offers a barrage of The Stones’ greatest hits including Satisfaction, Jumping Jack Flash, Gimme Shelter, Start Me Up, Honky Tonk Woman and, of course, Sympathy for the Devil.

Sticky Fingers is widely considered one of The Rolling Stones’ best albums.

It reached No. 1 on both the UK and US album charts and has since sold more than 26 million copies worldwide.

As well, it was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.

The Rolling Stones Revue also features a red-hot backing band featuring guitar virtuoso Jak Housden (The Whitlams, The Badloves), with Dario Bortolin (Baby Animals) on bass, Gordon Rytmeister (Glenn Shorrock, Hamilton) on drums, Rob Woolfe (Ian Moss) on keys, James Christowski on guitar and Winston Smith on sax.

Tickets are now on sale.
