A couple of changed traffic conditions will come into effect during the construction of the M1 extension to Raymond Terrace this week.
Southbound Pacific Motorway road-users can expect to be diverted onto the northbound carriageway of the M1 (contraflow arrangement) at the John Renshaw Drive/Weakleys Drive intersection on Thursday 28 May and Friday 29 May between 7pm and 5am.

The project team is undertaking asphalt work.
During this time, there’s no access to Lenaghans Drive from the southbound lanes of the M1.
Major construction resumes from 7am to 6pm Monday to Friday; 8am to 5pm on Saturday; and from 7pm to 5am Monday to Friday nights.
It’ll also require lane closures and contraflow with intermittent stoppages and temporary speed reductions to 40km/h at the following locations and times:
From 7pm to 5am, on the nights of Monday 25 May until Friday 29 May
- M1 Pacific Motorway at Beresfield and Black Hill
- John Renshaw Drive at Beresfield
- New England Highway at Tarro
- Pacific Highway at Tomago and Heatherbrae
From 8am to 5pm, Monday 25 May until Friday 29 May
- Lenaghans Drive at Black Hill
- Old Punt Road near Pacific Highway at Tomago
- New England Highway Eastbound at Tarro
Motorists are advised to allow extra travel time and follow the directions of signs and traffic controllers.
Operators of Over-Size and/or Over-Mass (OSOM) vehicles with a ground contact wider than 3.2 metres or with overall width greater than 4.5 metres are advised to contact the project team on 1800 094 895 at least one day ahead of proposed movement.
Significant delays can occur if they fail to do so.
Swansea Bridge on Pacific Highway, Swansea
Essential maintenance is also taking place on the Swansea Bridge on the Pacific Highway at Swansea this week.
Work will focus on the structure’s locks and hydraulic cylinders, inspecting and testing the electrical, mechanical and hydraulic components, and the emergency systems.
To reduce any impacts, it’ll be carried out between 7pm and 5am from Monday 25 May for up to four nights.
One bridge will remain open at all times.
Traffic control and a reduced speed limit of 40km/h is in place for the safety of everyone.
The bridge will not be open to marine traffic during the night shifts.
Operators of OSOM vehicles with a ground contact or overall width greater than three metres are advised to contact the team at least one day ahead of movement on 0421 541 116.
