Hunter homeowners will soon have access to more energy-efficient home designs through a new partnership between SNL Building and Green Homes Australia.
The new partnership will bring Green Homes Australia’s sustainable designs to Newcastle and the Hunter, combining environmentally focused building methods with SNL Building’s local construction experience.
SNL Building Green Homes Specialist Hartley Taylor said the partnership would give families the opportunity to create homes that are designed around comfort, efficiency and long-term affordability.
“Partnering with Green Homes Australia allows us to offer families across the region a smarter way to build,” Mr Taylor said.
“Green Homes has earned international recognition for its innovative approach to sustainable housing, and we’re proud to bring that expertise to Newcastle and the Hunter.
“As energy costs continue to rise and homeowners become increasingly conscious of sustainability, we’re excited to deliver homes that are healthier, more comfortable and more affordable to run.”
The homes are designed using passive solar principles, improved insulation and high-performance building materials to better respond to Australia’s climate.
The approach aims to create homes that naturally maintain more comfortable temperatures, reducing reliance on heating and cooling while helping lower ongoing energy costs for residents.
SNL Building has delivered residential, commercial, civil and community projects across NSW for more than 25 years, with a strong presence throughout Newcastle and the Hunter.
Green Homes Australia has received industry recognition for its innovation in sustainable housing, including being named Global Home of the Year at the National Association of Home Builders Global Innovation Awards.
The designs may also meet eligibility requirements for selected green home loan products through participating lenders, providing another option for eligible homeowners looking to invest in energy-efficient living.
SNL Building said the partnership reflects increasing interest from homeowners wanting properties that are not only well-designed, but also reduce environmental impact and household running costs.
