Shocked Anna Bay mum snares $33 million Lucky Lotteries prize

One Port Stephens family is in celebration mode today after scooping the pool in the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot.

Despite winning the entire bounty – and thinking her good fortune was a “hoax”, the humble Anna Bay mum has declared she won’t say goodbye to working just yet.

The local resident picked up the total windfall of $33.04 million in the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot 10725, drawn on Monday 24 October.

Amazingly, there were no winners for 250 consecutive draws, allowing the prize haul to climb to a record amount.

Straight after the draw an official from The Lott reached out to the diligent – but shocked – woman, who revealed she had been having a bad day before discovering she was a newly made multi-millionaire.

“Oh my god! Oh my god!” she screamed.

“I’m going to cry.

“Are you telling me, I’ve won $33 million?

“I’ve got the tingles.

“I’ve been feeling like s*** today, so this really changes everything.”

The woman admitted the win “didn’t feel real”.

“I’m trying to pinch myself,” she said.

“It’s going to be hard to concentrate for the rest of the day, especially while I’m at work.

“I’m getting straight into my car to see my son.

“I’ll also try and get in contact with my other family members to let them know.

“They’re all going to be beside themselves.

“I’m shaking.”

When asked how she expected to enjoy her newfound luck, the winner shared it would go towards a new family home.

“I’ve been renting for a long time,” she said.

“So, I can’t wait to buy a home.

“I can say goodbye to renting and hello to a house in my name.

“I’ll keep working though. I don’t have plans to retire just yet.

“This is life-changing.”

The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $1 million for draw 1597, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $630,000 for draw 10727.

In FY22, 169 Lucky Lotteries first prize and Jackpot winning entries across Australia won more than $32.95 million.
