Share some joy this Christmas

SHARE

The most wonderful time of the year is almost here but, for some, Christmas can be a very tough time.

Charities across NSW are calling on individuals to share some joy this year by donating to their Christmas appeals.

The Greater Charitable Foundation, alongside Youth Off The Streets, has just launched their Youth Off The Streets’ Christmas Appeal.

The foundation is encouraging people to donate new gifts for young people aged between 12 and 21.

It suggests donating sporting equipment, clothing, bags and beauty products, as well as gift vouchers from retailers.

“Every child deserves to wake up on Christmas morning and unwrap presents, which is why we have extended our partnership with Youth Off The Streets to help brighten and make it a greater Christmas for those in need,” Greater Charitable Foundation Chief Executive, Anne Long, says.

Youth Off The Streets is an independent charity that provides support to homeless and disadvantaged young people, while the Greater Charitable Foundation funds life changing initiatives to help families and communities.

To donate to this appeal, visit any Greater Bank branch within the Hunter and Newcastle up until Friday 6 December.

Other Christmas appeals have been launched by The Smith Family, Samaritans, Salvation Army, Barnardos, St Vincent de Paul Society, and various others.

These charities don’t want anyone to go without this Christmas, visit their websites for more information about their appeals.
