Selfless Nords Wharf man discovers $100,000 Lucky Lotteries win

A Lake Macquarie man is keen to “pay it forward” after winning $100,000 in a recent Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw.

The Nords Wharf resident discovered he scored the hefty windfall, just one day after returning from holidays.

He held the first prize winning entry in the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw on Monday 25 September.

When an official from The Lott called to reveal the life-enhancing news, the local was over the moon.

“I can’t believe it,” he said.

“That’s amazing! You’ve made my day.

“I just put on an auto-pick each week, so this is completely unexpected.

“I only got back from holidays [yesterday]. Now, I can keep relaxing.”

The Hunter man admitted he thought the win was a prank… at first.

“Wow. What a nice surprise,” he said.

“But, I’ve always wanted to be able to give back.

“I have a few family members who aren’t as fortunate as me.

“So, I’m going to share it with them.”

The man’s winning entry of five random numbers was purchased online at

The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $7.96 million for draw 1626, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $5.05 million for draw 10799.
