See you at The 2024 AVE Technologies Newcastle Mile

The AVE Technologies Newcastle Mile is about more than harness racing.

And, it’s a fact the Newcastle Harness Racing Club is proud of.

Committed to showcasing the very best the city has to offer, organisers are hoping this year’s line-up will impress every visitor, with stages, tracks and lounges oozing with local talent.

The five-hour event will take place on Friday 23 February from 5.30pm to 10.30pm.

This year’s headline act is Newcastle-based songstress Max Jackson, who recently picked up her first ever Golden Guitar for New Talent of the Year at the 2024 Tamworth Country Music Festival.

Max Jackson is performing at The 2024 AVE Technologies Newcastle Mile.

While Jackson performs her award-winning tunes for racegoers, quality pacers will be vying for the $100,000 prizemoney and a chance to race in the $1 Million Miracle Mile at Menangle in March.

Free entry into the Turton Road address this month will bring a string of quality off-track entertainment, including The Voice 2022 finalist Finnian Johnson and Newcastle legends The Mark Wells Band.

Family entertainment includes the popular Dachshund Mini Mile, Mini Trots, face painters, Ruby the Clown, Kids Games & Activities, as well as food trucks to stop the tummy grumbles.

On yer marks: Mini Dachshunds will race at The 2024 AVE Technologies Newcastle Mile.

Hospitality packages are available and range from $30pp to $720 for a table of 16.

The return of Cash Sweepstakes means there’s also a chance to win in a share of $1000, with funds raised going to the John Hunter Children’s Hospital Kids’ Club.
