A second man has been charged with the shooting murder of a Newcastle woman who was killed at her front door earlier this year.
Stacey Klimovitch, 61, was shot dead when she opened the door of her Stockton home on the evening of 8 June.
Officers from Newcastle City Police District established Strike Force Backhouse to investigate the circumstances surrounding her murder.
Last week, detectives arrested a 29-year-old man at Honeysuckle.
He was charged and remains before the courts.
With help from ACT Policing, officers arrested a 46-year-old man on an NSW warrant at a home in Chisholm, ACT, about 6.45pm on Friday.
On Monday. strike force detectives were granted the man’s extradition to NSW.
He was taken to Queanbeyan Police Station and charged with murder, refused bail and will appear at Queanbeyan Local Court on Tuesday.
