Search underway for missing three-year-old in the Hunter

A search is underway for a child, missing on a property near Singleton.

Just before 12.30pm (Friday 3 September), officers from Hunter Valley Police District were called to a rural property on Yengo Drive, Putty, south of Singleton, after reports a child was missing.

The three-year-old boy, who lives with autism, could not be located after he was last seen at a home on the property at about 11.45am.

A coordinated search is underway, with the assistance of police on trailbikes, PolAir, State Emergency Service (SES) and Rural Fire Service (RFS).

There are sufficient emergency services on scene and public assistance is not required at this time. This area is deemed regional NSW and travel restrictions under the Public Health Order apply.
