The RSPCA NSW Hunter Shelter team needs a Foster Care Manager.

The not-for-profit animal welfare group based in Rutherford is looking for a human who believes they are a purrrfect fit.

“If you are dedicated and compassionate about finding temporary homes for animals who are waiting to get adopted then this role could be for you,” a Hunter team representative said.

Based at its Rutherford address, the foster care manager will be tasked with helping to make a difference in the lives of countless animals.

In 2021 alone, RSPCA NSW fostered almost 1500 animals into new homes and families, 233 of which were registered in the Hunter region.

Through its programs the charity strives to maintain an open-door policy, so no animal is turned away or forgotten.

This year the 1500 animals who were cared for by the group were given the opportunity to receive medical treatment, rehabilitate, and most importantly, experience a loving family environment as they wait to get adopted.

For animal lovers committed to making a positive difference to all four-legged friends, this role may be perfect for you.

The Foster Care Manager will be responsible for managing the NSW Foster Care strategy and providing necessary support to foster carers – with the ultimate goal to help minimise animal shelter days in care.

The FCM will provide support to foster carer volunteers; such as ensuring bedding, food, medication, vet services are all adequately supplied.

They will help find the perfect foster carer companion match for every animal, based on personality, location, family and living situation.

On the side they’ll help raise awareness on the importance of the RSPCA NSW Foster Care program and the positive impact it can make.

If you’re searching for an incredibly rewarding career and want to make a difference in the lives of many animals in our community, the RSPCA NSW Foster Care Manager is the perfect role for you!

Together let’s give our four-legged companions an opportunity to experience a loving family environment as they find their forever home.
