A motorbike rider suffered serious injuries following a dirt bike accident near Lake Macquarie on Wednesday afternoon.
NSW Ambulance tasked the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service (WRHS) to the location, at Mandalong, about 4.30pm on 16 February.
Paramedics and the chopper’s Critical Care Medical Team then treated and stabilised the 55-year-old patient.
It is believed the man came off his bike while riding along a fire trail.
He was airlifted to John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition for further treatment.
