Rattan interiors

Rattan is making a comeback.

Think baskets, lampshades and side tables. The material is used to create fashion accessories, furniture and more utilizing the plant’s flexible woody stem.

Rattan items can be used to evoke a laid-back beach house, a bohemian pad or a more formal colonial residence.

This time round Rattan designs are also taking on a more contemporary edge. Instead of pairing them with the fussy patterns favoured by past generations, they can be used to bring texture and elegance to a minimal Scandi setting.
