Rare first-hand footage of firefighter tackling blaze

In a rare opportunity, the Fire and Rescue crew from Rutherford 455 has filmed what it’s like to receive a call out, and be faced with flames bellowing from an abandoned car.

Posted on the Fire and Rescue NSW Facebook page, the video was recorded after a call for the incident came through in the early hours of yesterday morning.

The firefighters travelled to Dunkley Street in Rutherford, where they found a car engulfed in flames.

In full breathing apparatus, crews worked to extinguish the fire.

It’s a first hand perspective of what our firefighters are up against.

Thankfully no one was injured as a result of the incident.
