Police are describing a horrific attack on a pregnant woman and her husband in Maitland as ‘cowardly.’
At around 6pm on 22 November, a 38-year-old man, his 34-year-old pregnant wife and their two-year-old daughter were standing near their stopped vehicle in Carrington Street, Horseshoe Bend when a man in his forties punched and pushed the pregnant woman, then her husband.
The man was holding his daughter at the time, who then fell to the ground as a consequence of the assault.
The male is described as being in his forties, about 160cm tall, medium build, short hair, and caucasian in appearance.
Police are eager to speak to anyone that may be able to assist them with information.
