A member of the court at Toronto tested positive to COVID-19 last night, the Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) confirmed this afternoon.
The person last attended the Toronto Court House on Monday 27 July and received a positive result on Saturday 1 August.
As a precaution, cleaning of the court house is taking place today (Sunday 2 August).
It is believed the person was infected at the Apollo restaurant in Potts Point, Sydney.
All close contacts have been identified and are being contacted by NSW Health.
Anyone who visited Toronto Court House between 7am and 2pm on Monday 27 July should watch for any symptoms.
Should even mild symptoms develop, they must self-isolate and seek urgent testing for COVID-19.
In a statement to the media, the DCJ said it would continue to work closely with NSW Health and carry out all necessary measures to protect its staff, court users, and the community.
