Port Stephens man skips into weekend with $200,000 windfall

SHARE

A Port Stephens man entered the weekend in the best possible way… and with a spring in his step.

It came after the local resident found out he’d just scored $200,000 in the latest Lucky Lotteries draw on Friday 17 May.

Talk about finishing the week on a high.

“Woo hoo!” he cried when his windfall was confirmed by an official from The Lott shortly after the draw on Friday afternoon.

“I feel much better now, thank you.

“I’ve finished work and just checked my phone.

“The weekend takes on a whole different perspective now.

“I don’t normally play Lucky Lotteries.

“But, I have dabbled in the past.

“I had something left over in my account, so I thought I’d grab a ticket.”

Ironically, he sensed some good news on the horizon.

“I just had a feeling. I had a feeling I would win,” the man admitted.

“You’ve (The Lott) made our year.

“This is a deposit on a house… this will get us what we need and get us out of the rental trap.

“We’ve had a shortlist of dream homes.

“However, we never thought we’d get there… now we can.”

The man’s winning entry of 10 random numbers was purchased via The Lott app.

The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $19 million for draw 1672, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $1.54 million for draw 10852.

In 2023, 117 Lucky Lotteries first prize and jackpot winning entries across Australia won more than $20.6 million.
