Detectives have released CCTV footage of a vehicle as their investigation continues into a suspicious fire at Wickham last month.
Emergency services were called to the Air Locker gym on Albert Street just after midnight on Friday 23 January after they received reports of smoke billowing from the building.
Crews from Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) attended, locating a blaze on the ground floor and quickly extinguishing it.
Officers from Newcastle City Police District then established a crime scene, which was forensically examined.
Detectives have since started inquiries into the incident under Strike Force Halesworth, which might be related to another similar fire on the night of 20 January.
They recently circulated images of two men observed in the area at the time of the second blaze.
The first male was described as medium height and build, wearing long pants, a hooded jumper and joggers.
The other man was portrayed as medium-to-thin build, wearing long pants, hooded jumper, socks and slides.
Now, detectives have released CCTV of a light-coloured older-model Toyota Corolla hatchback seen in the area at the time of the incident.
Police wish to speak with the driver and any occupants as they believe they may have information to assist them.
Anyone able to identify the vehicle is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
