Pharmacy, medical centre listed as COVID-19 exposure sites at Jesmond Central

NSW Health have advised Jesmond Central that Priceline Pharmacy and Healthsure Medical Centre were visited by two positive cases of COVID-19 on Monday 2 August.

“It has been reported to Jesmond Central that NSW Health have advised Priceline Pharmacy and Healthsure Medical Centre that two people attending on Monday 2 August 2021 between 3:20pm – 4:23pm have subsequently tested positive to COVID-19,” the business said on social media.

“While we await further advice from NSW Health regarding close or casual contact status, Priceline Pharmacy and Healthsure Medical Centre have closed to allow staff to isolate.

“A deep clean has been undertaken [at] both premises.

“The health and safety of retailers, staff, customers, contractors, and partners is our absolute priority, and we are taking all necessary precautions and implementing all recommendations from NSW Health to minimise risk to the local community.”

Jesmond Central remains open with COVIDSafe procedures in place including regular cleaning, hand sanitising stations and social distancing.
