Pacific Highway roadworks to cause traffic delays

Commuters who travel on the Pacific Highway near Highfields may want to reroute their journey from Tuesday, with roadworks expected to cause delays.

Essential maintenance work means changed traffic conditions may affect motorists on City Road between the intersections of Northcott Drive and Kahibah Road.

Transport for NSW will carry out the work, including repairing the retaining wall on the eastern side of the highway from Tuesday 27 April.

Work will be carried out between 7am and 2.30pm on weekdays and is expected to be completed by early July, weather permitting.

Southbound traffic on the Pacific Highway will be reduced to two lanes while work is carried out, with traffic control and a reduced speed limit of 40km/h in place for the safety of workers and motorists.

Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions, and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.

Transport for NSW thanks motorists for their patience during this time.
