Get ready for a day of local live music heaven with the return of West Best Bloc Fest (WBBF) this weekend.
The third edition of the iconic festival is back with more venues and more bands on Sunday 6 October.
In fact, the long list of performers will entertain the masses across 12 stages in nine locales within Newcastle West.

Returning venues King Street Hotel, Jams Karaoke Bar, The Happy Wombat, The Rogue Scholar, Bernie’s and Papa’s Bagels are all scheduled to host music acts starting from noon.
This year’s festival will also feature new stages at Antojitos and the Mad Poet, as well as several pop-up performance spaces.
Organised and staged by Band-Aid Bookings, WBBF began in 2022 and has quickly cemented itself as the ultimate showcase of local talent, both new and old.
Hitting the stages will be ska-punk legends The Porkers, recently reformed punk duo The Gooch Palms and indie-folk icon Adam Newling.
Joining them are 12-piece funk experience Saylor & The Flavor, electro-pop duo RAAVE TAPES and beloved emo band Eat Your Heart Out.

LUPO.THEBOY, The Appointments, Goon Gremlins, Me Local Member of Parliament, Evangeline, CATPISS, Quaid Pierce, The Crap, Good Corn Liquor, The Main Guy & The Other Guys, Mishayla and Cow Corner will join the party, too.
More than 220 artists applied to play this year’s festival, with organisers having to whittle it down to 100.
According to co-organiser Dylan Oakes, 68% of performers will make their WBBF debut in 2024.
Tickets for the event can be purchased at the WWBF website or available on the day.
