As the financial impacts of COVID-19 linger for many small businesses across the region, one is preparing to go “above and beyond” to help others.
Matthews Cleaning Co (MCC) will offer a free 12-month clean for a premises, valued up to $7,000.
The initiative, known as “Clean Slate”, is open to all small businesses throughout the Hunter.
As a proud Novocastrian, founder and sole director Jordan Matthews attributes MCC’s initial success to the support of fellow Newcastle ventures and would like to return the favour by “paying it forward”.
“The goal is to help one business not only feel safer as individuals continue to return to their workplace, but also provide some financial relief at a time of need,” he explained.
“We (MCC) understand that the past few years have been a brutal time for many, if not all, small local enterprises.
“Our Clean Slate initiative is about recognising those efforts.
“We’d like to reward an owner/operator who may still be trying to catch up with the ever-increasing running costs and overheads associated with running a business.”
MCC invites small business to head to its website, www.matthewscleaningco.com.au, and fill in the Clean Slate competition form, describing in 200 words or less how this cost-saving program would help their business to recover and thrive.
The prize is for 12 months of free commercial cleaning beginning in January.
Entries are now open and close at 11.59pm on Tuesday 1 November, with the winner to be announced via the MCC website on Wednesday 23 November.
