A woman and teenage girl have been charged months after an alleged robbery at a Muswellbrook bottle shop.

Police allege three people forced their way into the business on the corner of Maitland Road and Sydney Street about 10pm on 22 May.

An employee was allegedly assaulted during the incident before alcohol was stolen.

A crime scene was established and detectives from the Hunter Valley Police District began investigating.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested three days later at Muswellbrook Police Station and charged with 11 offences.

He remains before the courts.

Police have since arrested two more people over the alleged robbery.

A 14-year-old girl was arrested at Muswellbrook Police Station on 2 September.

She was charged with robbery in company and face blackened/disguised with intent to commit an indictable offence.

The teenager was granted strict conditional bail and will appear before a children’s court on 30 September.

Detectives then executed a search warrant at a Wollombi Road home in Muswellbrook about 9.15am on Tuesday, 8 September.

A 38-year-old woman was arrested and taken to Muswellbrook Police Station.

She was charged with the same two offences as the teenage girl.

The woman was granted strict conditional bail and is due to face Muswellbrook Local Court on 29 September.
